A Midwinter Invitation: Two Important Events
We look forward to welcoming you to Midwinter in San Diego next month. I would like to extend my invitation to two exciting ASCLA events.
iMAgiNiff™ is a hilarious party game where players imagine what the other players are most like. Players learn a lot about each other and discover common traits. I would like to invite all ASCLA members to two important events at Midwinter where they can discover the “iMAgiNiff’s” they share about their association.
While the Annual Leadership Session is open to all ASCLA members, it is especially important that members of the board, committees, sections, forums and discussion groups attend. This year’s session will focus on gathering information for ASCLA’s 2015 strategic plan. These meetings are crucial to moving the association forward. The current restructuring and bylaws revision effort is a direct result of input received from the 2009 and 2010 leadership meetings. New to ASCLA Midwinter: Special Advocacy Session
What key issues are you facing, either locally or nationally? What kinds of information and tools do you need in order to successfully advocate for these issues? All ASCLA members are invited to this special session to brainstorm and identify common advocacy needs. At recent Leadership sessions members expressed a need for advocacy support. Information gleaned from this session will be incorporated into an advocacy goal in ASCLA’s strategic plan. What story do you need to tell? What message do you need to deliver? Join your ASCLA colleagues on Saturday, January 7, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. in the Hilton Bayfront, Room Aqua 310.
