The Consortium Management Discussion Group had a lively discussion about dealing with the economic downturn. We hope to collect some of the ideas from that discussion and follow here on the wiki.
I thought it might help if a consortium could expand online training opportunities to allow library staff to avoid travel. [wwww.lynda.com] is one resource that offers a multiuser licensing option. The site offers many many topics and many samples to evaluate. I have tried some of the Photoshop tutorials and they were excellent. We are now encouraging some of our members to evaluate it before we purchase the license.
