First, I want to thank you for the privilege of serving as your President for the past year. I have been delighted at the participation of ASCLA members on committees and interest groups. Especially notable has been the full slate of candidates for next year’s officers and board members as well as winners for all of our awards. I look forward to working with next year’s president Rhonda Putney-Gould as she continues to move our Association forward.

I would be remiss if I didn’t remind everyone about the President’s Program at Annual Conference. Charlene Li, founder of the Altimeter Group and a featured speaker at many corporate events, will be bringing us her perspective on “The Engaged Leader”, the title of her latest book. Charlene is a well-known speaker on social media and particularly the need for leaders to become competent social media users with both their staff and customers. You won’t want to miss this signature ASCLA event to be held on Saturday, June 27 from 10:30-noon at the Moscone Convention Center, 3014-3016 (W).

Our other events, such as interest group meetings, programs and the new ASCLA 101 presentation, will all be listed in your conference program. I look forward to seeing old, new and prospective members in San Francisco!
