Dear ASCLA Friends,

The holiday season is here and brings with it a brief time for reflection.  I am very grateful to consider you all not just professional colleagues but friends.  That is one of the many reasons why ASCLA has made a difference for my career, knowing that I have a strong network of caring individuals in the field working as consultants, working at agencies and consortia, and working with those who who need our libraries to be accessible and free of barriers to service. It has been an honor to serve as your ASCLA President these past six months.

I am looking forward to meeting many of you in person at Midwinter in Boston in early January.  ASCLA has many events scheduled throughout the meeting ranging from pre-conferences, many interest group and committee meetings, our social event Friday evening after the exhibits open, and the Leadership Session on Saturday morning.  All of you are welcome to attend our two board of directors meetings too!  Please take the opportunity to get to know ASCLA better and to consider volunteering for a committee or interest group.

I wish all of you the best for 2016.  Here’s to a prosperous New Year!

Cheers,

Rhonda
